Guide for Artists: Choose Your Image Type

Did you know there are 3 different types of images you can upload? The first type is "Concept sketch" which is your original sketch to the requestor. Pretty clear, right? But what if you want to show the requestor someone else's artwork or even a photograph of something as an example or a reference image? Don't worry! You can list those images as "Reference image." When you have a piece of artwork you created in the past that you think the buyer will be impressed with for his specific request, upload it and select "Example" to classify it.

Where do you select these options? Right under the upload field where it says "Image type." Click on the drop down list and you will see your options. So in short:

Concept Sketch: Your own artwork. Your original sketch for this particular request.

Example: An example of your past artwork.

Reference image: Something used for reference, either someone else's artwork or a photograph. Since this is classifying it as reference, you are making it clear to the buyer that this is not YOUR artwork.
