Meet Los Angeles artist, Juan Roger Bethke. Juan's been an artist for over 20 years, but professionally doing it for about 10. His favorite art to create are figurative painting, likenesses and edgy surrealist art. Juan has many favorite moments as an artist, "because anytime I get to see myself improving is always a favorite moment in my art." He does however give an account of a breakthrough moment:

Meet Eric Eubanks, a Tattoo Artist at Permanently Scarred Perfectly Pierced in Toledo, Ohio. He's been tattooing for about 18 years and has been interested in tattoos for as long as he can remember. Eric loves to tattoo anything in color. He enjoys tattooing all sorts of subject matter, from flowers to butterflies, to horror and gore. His least favorite thing to tattoo? "My least favorite things to tattoo hands down would be lettering.....I hate it...really really hate it." You gotta love an honest artist!

Another great design by Benjamin Wright translated into a tattoo! The original design by Benjamin Wright is truly inspiring and perfectly conveys the verse the client wanted. I Corinthians 9:24 says, "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize?

Another tattoo design has been inked! This time it was designed and inked by Tatboard Artist, Crowz eye! Huskeyeye-2 hired crowz eye to create the final design for this very meaningful tattoo about his family. His wife was tragically killed by a drunk driver, symbolized by the crooked tree that they crashed into. His children made it out fine, and are symbolized by the dragon and the tiger. Extremely powerful and emotion charged concept and story behind this one, and Crowz eye was able to capture it beautifully.

As a community, Tatboard Artists  are awesome! There have been a few bumps in the road and a couple of unhappy campers, but most of these issues can be avoided. Wing tattoos are seen in many different styles, forms and placements. When asked what super power we'd wish to have, the answer is often, "the ability to fly." Flight has fascinated mankind for ages. The fantasy of flying has been evident in various legends, stories and myths in every culture of the world. Flight symbolizes freedom and power. It also symbolizes spirituality, being close to heaven and the association of wings with angels. This is why so many of the most popular wing tattoo designs is a life size pair of angel wings taking up the full back.
